Description: Jetstream Dream Scientifically speaking, the more P-90s you can fit onto a guitar, the cooler it is. By that incredibly rational criteria, the Reverend Jetstream 390 is the zenith of awesomeness (at least, until we develop the technology to cram a fourth P-90 onto a guitar!). The three P-90s produce a dazzling array of tones in conjunction with Reverends bass contour knob, and many of the sounds youll find are unique to this pickup configuration. As a result, the Jetstream speaks with quite an inspiring, unique voice! It also comes equipped with a host of player-friendly appointments that optimize playability and reliability. So, its a workhorse, but it also has lots of tonesboth classic and exoticon tap. The foundation for the Jetstream 390s tone is its korina body. Korina exhibits punchiness, warmth, and evenness reminiscent of mahogany, but it is livelier and it has more chime in the highs. This sort of unamplified tone is a perfect match for Reverends Alnico 5 P-90s. They also emphasize the midrange, and they are quite touch-sensitive. When you ease off, they sound round, smooth, and open. When you dig in, they snarl and bite as sunny overtones chime in the highs. The bridge position has a beautiful combination of sparkle and bite, the middle position is full and balanced, and the neck position is rich and warm. When you roll off the bass contour, you get a tighter, brighter sound with a bit more cut. The two in-between positions are glorious, too. They sound like a Strat that got really serious about weight lifting and hit the gym every day for six months to do deadlifts and squats and drank a double portion of Muscle Milk afterward. That classic quack is there, but the guitar sounds brawnier and beefier. Its an inspiring sound, and its not one you heard every day, so youll be sure to get lots of Whoah, what is that?-type questions when you take it to a gig or a jam. Power to the Player Reverend has kitted out the Jetstream 390 with a metric ton of appointments that enhance the players experience while making the instrument supremely reliable. The medium oval neck profile is home to 22 0.110 wide x 0.050 high frets and a fingerboard with a 12 radius, a configuration well-suited to most techniques and playing styles (and, its especially good for bending strings). Also, it has pin-lock tuners and a Boneite nut to ensure excellent tuning stability, and it comes equipped with boutique-quality pots and caps and a Pure Tone jack for consistent sound. Finally, an angled six-bolt neck plate increases stability and resonance while allowing easy access to the upper frets. Jetstream-of-Conciousness Hopefully someday, with all the advances humankind is making in the sciences, we can develop space-age guitars with six or seven P-90s (because more is always better, right?). Until then, the Jetstream 390 will satisfy all of your P-90 cravings. Its a versatile beast with an endless array of tones, and it has the spirit of a true workhorse. Were sure it will help you make all sorts of pugnacious P-90 noises!
