Description: This box is an early Winchester .44-40 which dates from 1880-1883. This is the earliest style of this box and is identified because there is no "W.R.A. etc" headstamp on the cartridge head. I also have a very limited supply of the blue label boxes. These were not nearly as prolific as the green labels and are very rare for collectors today. Unless you message me saying you want a blue label, I will assume you want a green since it was the predominate historical color. All of the boxes I've recreated all date to the 1880's and are what collectors now, for obvious reasons, refer to as "picture boxes." These are not photocopies or printed from pictures I've Googled. These are high resolution, digital recreations and are professionally printed.The reproduction box is, of course empty, with the side wrappers sealed.
