Description: Non-working replica of the famed Sony ECM-51 telescoping gameshow microphone. This contains no microphone nor microphone electronics. This item is NOT a real Sony ECM-51 microphone. This is a faithful reproduction of a genuine Sony ECM-51 that telescopes and retracts to exact size of the genuine article. All metal construction. Comes complete with an integrated 10' XLR cable for authenticity (non-functioning). This replica telescopes from approx 9" (retracted) to about 19" (expanded) (and anywhere in between) including the handle. Also includes real Sony AD-38 metal mesh windscreen affixed to the shaft via friction fit on a rubber connector and can be removed (see pics). If you've ever wanted to own a Sony ECM-51 but didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for the ultra-rare 50 year old microphone (which typically no longer work given the delicate circuitry and known servicing issues) this is a great alternative.
