FAQsQ: "How can you claim to get 1.5 inches of lift from a 1 inch spacer?"A: The rear suspension has geometry that creates additional lift beyond the thickness of the spacer. We measure the lift before and after at the fender lip directly above each wheel. Q: "Is everything I need included in this kit?"A: Everything to install the lift is included in the kit. However, once the car is apart, you may notice there are other parts that could use replacement, especially on high mileage vehicles. We recommend checking for worn, broken, or rusted out parts before beginning the installation. Q: "Will I need an alignment after installing this kit?"A: Yes, just as if you lowered your car, lifting changes the wheel alignment. It is also recommended to install camber correction kits for lifts greater than 1". Q: "Do I need new struts to install this kit?"A: No, this kit is designed to work with all of your factory original parts. It will also work with aftermarket struts but the height results will vary. Q: "Will lifting my car affect the axles?"A: Sometimes. It depends on the amount of lift and the type of axles you have in your vehicle. Parts store rebuilt axles are more prone to having issues. In general, installing lift spacers taller than 2" will require a subframe drop to maintain proper axle angle. Q: "Do I need to replace my suspension bushings when installing a lift kit?"A: It depends on the condition of your existing bushings. We always recommend inspecting your factory bushings and replacing them with urethane bushings such as Energy Suspension if needed. The added benefit of installing urethane bushings is that it allows the suspension to move more freely without binding up. Q: "Will lifting my car negatively affect the handling?"A: In most cases, yes. By lifting the suspension you are effectively raising the roll center of the car, which can cause additional body roll. Our lift kits are intended for off-road use where suspension travel and ground clearance are more important.
