Description: I removed this rear end from a 1947 Studebaker M16 truck that had been sitting for about 40 years, that was being stored in a barn. I don't know if it makes any difference, but the truck has a dump bed. I had originally planned to remove both axles, brake drums and brake parts. I did remove the driver side axle but could not get the drum off. I gave up and put the axle back in. There are 2 or 3 bolts that are not tightened properly and will need some attention. As of the time of this listing, there are two of the cone shaped spacers missing. I will check and see if they are still where I removed the rear end. I don't know why the truck was parked, but one of the engine valves is burnt and has a small chip out of it. Possibly parked for this reason. I cannot guarantee that the rear end has no issues, but I believe it is a good one. This part is pretty heavy, and will require the buyer to come pick it up, or arrange for shipping it to their location. I am selling this rear end as is, no returns, no refunds.
