RCDM Rear Bed Rack For The Axial Jeep "Mighty" FC Crawler Body / SCX10

Description: Hello Folks! I am offering up an RCDM (RC Don Manufacturing) custom made 3D printed rear bed rack for the Axial Jeep "Mighty" FC 1/10 scale crawler body. I designed this bed rack to compliment my existing front roof rack system (sold separately) which I custom designed for the Axial Jeep FC 0.040" vacuum formed polycarbonate body. This rack brings the unique RCDM design to life with a bolt-on extension to the popular roof rack system which completes a look and functionality that many FC owners are looking for.This bed rack requires the RCDM front roof rack system (sold separately as part #RCDM040) for support. The front of this rack bolts to your new or existing RCDM FC roof rack and comes with new side rails that are compatible with the RCDM FC bed rail system (part #RCDM041) should you already have one installed (but not required). Optional RCDM Body Support Plates are available (part #RCDM055) to use with the bed rack side rails should you want to reduce body flex. Now comes with bed rail hardware for securing the rack to your FC's bed!!!Repalcement Side Support Braces are available as spares should you need them out on the trail.Note: This rack WILL NOT work as a stand alone structure and requires theFC front roof rack for proper support.The bed rack has ten tie down handles built into the side rails and vertical supports that can be used to secure loads or a canvas cover should you want to customize your setup. There are also mounting holes located on the rear of the rack that can be used for rock lights or adding an optional RCDM spare tire rack (sold seperately as part #RCDM049) which is available in my other listings. This design has been "rock" tested for many hours of crawling on some of the toughest terrain imaginable. Get your RCDM scale FC bed rack to protect your RC investment and improve scale appearance !!!Each rack takes us 14 hours to print and is assembled and inspected by hand!Note: This kit requires drilling eleven 7/64" holes in the FC body which can be done easily using the supplied bed rails as a layout tool. First assemble the bed rack sides with the included M2.6 x 8mm (X18) and M2.6 x 6mm (X6) screws. There are three lengths of M2.6 screws provided with this kit so be careful to pay attention to where the screws are temporarily threaded into the cage so they can be re-installed correctly. Next, attach the rack sides to the bed rails with the M2.6 x 10mm (X8) screws so they resemble the photos in this description. Place the rack onto the bed of the FC body and attach the bed rack to your new or existing forward roof rack with the two supplied M3 x 6mm screws. This can be done with the front roof rack already installed or as a complete front / rear rack assembly. Once you are happy with the fit on the body you can use a 7/64" drill bit to carefully drill holes into the two rear rail holes of the new bed rails (using the rails as a drill guide) and secure the rails with two of the M2.6 x 8mm screws / blind nuts (one each side) supplied with this upgraded kit (not shown in photos). Once you are happy with the overall alignment of the racks you can drill the remaining 6 forward rail holes (three each side) and install the hardware to finish the installation. Now you are ready to hit the trail with a custom look that fits the FC perfectly !!!This auction is for 1 black 3D printed ABS plastic bed rack assembly (eight bolt together pieces in total - see picture), 29 - M2.6 x 8mm hex socket button head screws, 6 - M2.6 x 6mm button head screws, 2 - M3 x 6mm button head screws, 8 - M2.6 x 10mm button head screws and 11 - plastic blind nuts (RC rock crawler vehicle and spare tire rack in pictures are not included).This rack weighs 130 grams with hardware.This kit will require a 1.5mm and 2mm Allen wrench to assemble the rack as well as a 7/64" drill bit to install it on the polycarbonate FC body (not included).Note: If you make a mistake installing this kit and the rack does not sit on the body correctly you can adjust the rack by widening the holes in the body (with a hobby knife) to allow for adjustment and then re-tighten the mounting hardware when aligned correctly.All of my 3D printed parts are made right here in the USA on American Made FDM type printer machines.
