Has a timer so it goes on and off every night at the same time once you set it. This collection was released in 2021. There are many other pieces that go with this theme but most are retired now. I removed this from the box to take pictures and to check it to make sure it lights up when batteries are added. Batteries are included. This is new in the original box, it was a gift and due to the size, I never displayed it. Only thing I noticed is that it has a "rattle" noise when it is moved, but I can't see any missing pieces on the actual item so I guess it was left inside when this was manufactured.
