Description: Trilobite: coronocephalusLocation:Hunan, ChinaEra:Silurian, 410 million years agoSize:4.7CM Coronocephalus are a genus of ancient invertebrates in the order Trilobites. There is a series of small protrusions on the edge of the head, resembling a crown, hence the name. The number of segments in the central axis of the tail is higher than that in the rib leaves on both sides, and the complete length of the insect is 3-6cm. The crown worm has a crescent shaped to sub triangular head and long cheek spines. The head saddle is wide in front and narrow in the back, with a relatively large anterior lobe that merges with the anterior region of the false saddle. The posterior region contracts significantly, forming a rod-shaped shape, and the narrow part behind is penetrated by three deep and wide transverse grooves; There are 9 dentate nodules on the edge of the active cheek, thick nodules on the head nail, and 11 segments on the chest; Tail triangle, narrow axis, flat convex, gradually narrowing towards the rear, divided into 35-45 sections. The rib segments are relatively few, consisting of 14-15 simple ribs without grooves, and there are no rib spikes at the outer ends of the ribs. Welcome to my fossil studio! In the coming days, I will share the excellent fossils of China.
