Description: This is a rare WW1 German silver combat medal commemorating the efforts of the German 121 infantry division in the battle of Priesterwald in France early in the war, probably issued during the war. Face side of the medal has the classic profile of Kaiser Wilhelm with initials of the firm that produced the medal, BH Mayer of Pforzheim. Back side of the medal states Priesterwald 1915-1915 and 121 infantry division. With ribbon, may not be original ribbon. This one is in excellent condition. Hand-picked from reputable German dealer at Belgian military market many years ago. See pictures.
