Description: WWII AMERICAN POW PRISONER OF WAR LETTER GROUP HELD BY JAPANESE IN PHILIPPINES You are looking at a vintage World War 2 prisoner of war postcard from the Philippines to the United States. It was posted for Merrill B. Riddle, Private First Class, and he was imprisoned by the Imperial Japanese Army at Philippine Military Prison Camp No. 1. Measures approximately 5 1/4'' x 3 1/2'' inches. Please examine the photographs and zoom in for complete condition details. There are two small wrinkles on the upper left side of card shown in first picture and are very minor. Additional information. After extensive research, note the name printed on the card, the Japanese army personnel misspelled the last name. The correct last name is shown my Private First class’s handwritten signature Merrill B. “Riddle” not the “Riddell” as typewritten. This card was sent back to mainland USA to Montebello, California addressed to Merrill’s mother Miss Mabel Riddel. Additional information found on Private First Class Merrill B.
