Description: This rare vintage postcard features the main winery building entrance of Paul Masson Mountain Winery. It showcases the beautiful entryway of the Old St. Patrick’s Church, which was destroyed in the 1906 earthquake. The entryway was preserved and relocated to the winery grounds, where it now serves as the entrance and a backdrop for concerts. Since 1958, "Music in the Vineyard" concerts have taken place here, and this postcard captures one such crowded concert in progress. It is the only postcard I’ve encountered that features a concert at the winery! The back of the postcard advertises "Gary Lamb in concert at Paul Masson Mountain Winery," including details on how to obtain tickets for the show.
