This collectable lot includes: 1 (ONE ONLY) very clean blond 1965 American Girl Barbie model 1070 with working bendable legs wearing her original 1-piece swimsuit with striped bodice and blue bottom; Barbie's The World of Barbie Wardrobe trunk with pull-out drawers; the super groovy 1969 Carnaby Street Barbie Family House containing its original bed, table with 2 chairs, sofa, telephone, and radio. PLUS, in addition American Girl Barbie's original swimsuit, this lot features 7 original Barbie outfits, each one with an original Barbie hanger to keep the outfits tidy in the wardrobe or in the bedroom of her Carnaby St. House. Outfits are as follows: 1/sweet pink lace dress with white polka dotted stockings and pink shoes, very Grace Kelly at afternoon tea 2/red raincoat with yellow topstitching and yellow rain boots, Petula Clark Downtown lingering on the sidewalk where the neon lights are pretty 3/ short-sleeved white go-go mini dress that has large yellow polka dots, yellow and white pompom trim down the front and around the hem, and has a plastic see-through midsection that comes with white booties - Goldie Hawn on Laugh-In! 4/an amazing elegant pumpkin colored ball gown with a narrow trim of black above the hem and on the bodice with two black bows adorning the skirt. This comes with an orange coat and a white cap with an orange bow. High mid-60's Paris elegance, Aubrey Hepburn in Funny Face 5/Groovy Nancy Sinatra-inspired wide legged vinyl bell bottoms with a white wide collar blouse and black, white and brown faux fur vest that comes with black boots that are made for walking! 6/shimmering gold and white harem pant-style 1-piece featuring sheer white bottom and a fitted, sleeveless, gold, high neck bodice that comes with an elegant cream jacket flecked with gold. I get a very literal and happy "I Dream of Jeannie vibe" from this outfit. 7/and the pièce de résistance of any collection: a strapless white wedding dress that has a bit of lace above the bodice and an interestingly detailed mock-wrap skirt with a higher hem in the front that channels more Paris glamour, Doris Day in Givenchy The doll can be dated from 1965 due to the indented date on her bottom as well as her coarse pageboy and facial features and holes in the bottom of the feet. The house is in perfect condition for its age: no cracks or tears in the plastic at all. The case has a little wear on the corners but is clean. Funny enough, the original price tag of $3.87 from Target is still stuck on the wardrobe case! This lot is from my and my sister's original collection that we received as little girls just before moving from the midwest to Alaska. It moved with us back to the midwest and from our childhood home to my sister's home where the Barbies and their accessories have been hibernating for all these years waiting for a collector with an appreciation of early Barbie style to make it their own.
