Description: **RARE** SIGNED Parade Sportive Photo Premium of Montreal Canadiens HOFer Elmer LACH 1940s The Parade Sportive series initially ran in the1930's to sponsor interviews on radio station CKAC. From 1943 to 1948, the series was revived and featured many sporting figures aside from Hockey and were handed out by Montreal radio station CHLP. This Canadian set was issued over a span of several years in the mid-1940s in conjunction with the Parade Sportive radio program hosted by Montreal personality Paul Stewart. The 1940s series of photos are black-and-white large-format premium cards measure either 5 x 8.5 inches, 7 x 9.5 or 7 x 10 inches with white border. The photos are of relatively poor quality, even for the era, and the photos are constructed of thin paper stock.... Measures 7" x 10"...It's HAND SIGNED in Ball Point Elmer LACH #16 just beside the Facsimile Signature... The condition of this photo card is extremely clean and near mint but the original owner of this card stored this series in a binder which resulted in 3 punch holes.
