Description: Here is a Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted Plain Large High Handled Coffee Cup & Saucer, Number 1/72. This is a very rare and special piece, a jumbo 'office' cup size. The piece has a graceful high handle and nice painting inside. The cup and saucer are both factory second quality, made and hand painted in Denmark in the period 1980-1984. The cup measures approximately 3 1/4 inches tall with a ~3 3/4 inch rim diameter. The saucer measures approximately 6 5/8 inches across. The coffee cup and saucer are in excellent used condition. There are 2 small areas with glaze unevenness / irregularity on the rim of the saucer. This helps explain the factory second designation. There is shallow scratching / utensil marks on the surface of the saucer, and a small flake chip on the inside bottom rim of saucer. See photos 8-9. The cup has a discrete firing mark inside (photo 11) and some discrete glaze irregularities on its outside surface (photos 4 & 12), helping to explain its factory second designation. I see no other apparent damages or issues. This is a very nice and rare set to add to your collection! Please examine the photos and reach out with any questions!
