Description: This is a lovely and RARE Philadelphia Impressionist Regionalism Landscape Oil Painting on Artist Board, by early Philadelpha, Pennsylvania female Impressionist painter, Flora Elizabeth Wherry aka F. Elizabeth Wherry, Elizabeth F. Wherry (1894 - 1990.) This artwork depicts a tranquil and bucolic regional landscape scene, of finely rendered trees and mountains, and several small homes in the foreground. Perhaps you recognize the location? This piece likely dates to the 1930's - early 1940's. Signed: "Wherry" in the lower left corner. Approximately 26 1/2 x 30 1/2 inches (including frame.) Actual visible artwork is approximately 19 1/2 x 23 1/2 inches. Very good condition for age, with some light scuffing and edge wear to the vintage frame. Acquired from affluent deceased estate collection in Los Angeles County, California. Wherry's artworks are exceedingly scarce, and there is little information available on this artist.
