Description: Original German WW2 LP34 flare pistol holster. The Preßstoff pattern of holster was introduced in 1940 to replace the leather pattern holster.Preßstoff was an artificial leather made of laminated and impregnated paper fiber. This particular pattern of revised holster was introduced in 1941 whereby a strip of leather was riveted to the lid of the holster as the leather was more flexible and weather resistant than Preßstoff.Overall the holster is in good used condition; with some nicks, scratches and scuffs from use.The body of the holster is fairly stiff from age, but still structurally solid and usable. The leather in the lid is still in nice and pliable. The cleaning rod loop at the base of the holster has been removed at some point, as well as part of the retaining strap at the top. Also included is the two original carry straps on the rear. Nicely maker marked "fsx" for Albin Scholle Lederwarenfabrik, Zeitz and 1941 dated.Very hard to find holster. Thanks for looking.
