Description: RARE, ODD, "HUH?" . . . I have not been able to find a match for this book anywhere! It seems that this was a special edition of Godey's Lady's Book that was bound by a professional (publisher?), but NO title page, publisher page, etc. AND the spine with a person's name gold foil printed at the bottom! (Anna E. Pierce) *****NOTE: although THIS hardcover has the first couple of pages missing, I have had (and still have) MANY Godey Lady's Books, and this one is different. I have almost an exact similar one (different dates/months, but same binding) that the first pages are just directly glue to the cover, no title page, publisher page, etc.). MORE NOTES: overall the condition is WORN with frayed pages, folded pages, creases, etc. however it does seem like all of the color plates are there! CHECK OUT ALL OF THE PICTURES! I maxed out the number of pictures ebay allows! Pages, months, other notes:- book starts on page 119, but missing pages 125/126. Based on page 129 showing vol LXVII, that would suggest that it is still from 1864, but missing most of whatever month it was; ***HOWEVER***, the first full month (after the June 1864) is page 133, FEBRUARY 1864!- next is March 1864, followed by April 1864, May 1864, June 1864, July 1864, Aug 1864, Sept 1864, Oct 1864, Nov 1864, Dec 1864 THEN JUMPS TO . . .- MAY 1865 that does not have any color fashion plates (all the other months have fashion plates except for this one) ***SHIPPING: Free standard shipping, but due to the rarity, a SIGNATURE RECEIPT will be required*** Again, CHECK ALL OF THE PICTURES! approx 6.5 inches x 9.5 inches x 2.75 inches
