Description: LUCA RAZZA is a Rhode Island jewelry designer and manufacturer who began his business in the mid 50s. In the early 90s he formed PLAZA Jewelry here in North Kingstown and is still active in the company today. His hallmarks are L. RAZZA (April 1965) and RAZZA (c) 1970. Although RAZZA did a fair amount of Owls this particular one is quite rare. The necklace is a gold tone flat herringbone with a lobster claw clasp. The pendant is 4" long. The pieces weigh in at 63 grams - approximately 2.5 full ounces. As you can see the stone used is a brown agate. The back is open and the hallmark L. RAZZA can be seen there. The piece has been in my collection since 1977 and has been kept in a closed box in a pet and smoke free environment. Thanks for taking the time to look and to read!
