It is addressed “To Betty” - a friend of mine’s mom on The Paddock Lounge Program, which is very rare as well! Paddock Lounge, opened at 309 Bourbon Street in 1925 by racehorse owner Steve Valenti, was a premier jazz venue for locals and tourists alike. Oscar “Papa” Celestin (1884-1954) was one of the most popular of New Orleans cornetists and considered a major player in the development of jazz. There is no COA as this was signed many years ago.
