Rare, HUGE Framed CIVIL WAR Photo in FANCY FRAME, 15 x 17, Post-Mortem Memorial

Description: Rare OVERSIZED 15" x 17" FRAMED Hand Done, Hand Colored Civil War Soldier Photo DESCRIPTION: SCANS SHOW IT ALL. A very rare large Civil War soldier photo. Clearly done during the war or shortly after. An enlarged bust photo, with some coloration, painting, etc. to highlight it. Deep blue uniform color with brass colored buttons AND KEPI BUCKLE. PIERCING BLUE EYES. THIS WAS CLEARLY DONE BY HIS FAMILY AS A MEMORIAL TO HIM. ALMOST CERTAINLY A COMBAT CASUALTY WHO WAS AMONG THE MANY WHO DID NOT MAKE IT BACK HOME. THAT ALONE MAKES THIS SPECIAL. SO NICELY DONE, AND THINK HOW IMPORTANT AND SPECIAL THIS WAS TO HIS FAMILY.Also clearly special in the size and fancyness of the frame. ONE OF THE FANCIEST WOODEN FRAMES I HAVE EVER SEEN. Several layers and characteristics AND SIZE of the frame. Hope I conveyed it well with my scans. Has original wood backing piece and air bubble flecked glass, again comfirming its Civil War age.Nicely framed & matted oval photo. Overall frame measures 14 1/2" x 16 1/2" overall. Photo itself measures about 7 1/2" x 9 1/2". In excellent condition overall.This is a great looking, large piece, AND WOULD LOOK GREAT ON ANY WALL IN A FAMILY ROOM, MAN CAVE, OR OFFICE. ALSO OVER A FIREPLACE!! One of the nicest framed photos you will find. YOU ALSO KNOW THAT THE PICTURE AND FRAME HAVE BEEN TOGETHER SINCE THE CIVIL WAR.And again, not only how nicely it is done, what it represents.....and how rare.....a SOLDIER KIA, AND THIS MEMORIAL done by the family who cared and remembered back during the war.
