Description: This listing is for a RARE General Field Marshall Von Hindenburg Match Box Case / Cover made of embossed metal in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I believe it is a WW1 Era vintage / antique piece. It definitely was not made after world war 2 in this country, being Hindenburgs popularity in the states was somewhat in decline. I believe it is brass or brass plate It is marked by the maker A. Helmstaedter, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. It is finely detailed, with pronounced facial features. You can even see detail in his iconic mustache. Below the image of the general is a cluster of oak leaves, above him is some sort of shield & banner or coat of arms. He is in full military uniform, resplendent in his many medals. It is a handsome piece, a hard to come by find perfect for any collection. It is great for collectors of militaria, Tobacciana, Pittsburgh antiques, and much more! A fine item for gifting, display/ decor, etc. It is in very good vintage or antique condition. It has very little wear, and no denting to the embossed front. It has a pleasing patina, to be left as is or possibly polished up at buyers discretion. Some very light wave like bends on the back, very subtle and barely noticeable- just usual wear from age & use as intended. Thank you for your consideration, reasonable offers always considered. Comes as shown, please see photos for details and measurements. Comes packed with care, insured in shipment.
