Description: For serious collectors. It might be funny that these plastic versions of Finnish M/62 helmets are rare, but they are. Originally these lightweight helmets were made for parade use in very limited numbers for different garrisons and famously there never was enough of these so some of the crew of military bands, guards in national funerals, etc. had to get a steel one and paint it white. I've got five of these, all in excellent shape for some reason. Four of these have the original M/62 insides, but one of them has the super-rare modern inside, that has a rumour going on about. When army decided to change to kevlar helmets, the old M/62 was taken out from service in all units - except one. Guard's Battalion in Helsinki. Small unit that is in charge of guarding presidential palace. The new version was made for this unit - and them only. Since the plastic helmet was in use from 1970's - they were quite worn out and extremely small batch of these was made for this unit to be used in the service. I will sell the normal versions first, but if you buy at least two of these at once - I'll include the rare version to the batch.
