Description: This listing is for the ultra-rare factory optional center console for 1966-1967 Toronado with bucket seats. It fits in between the buckets, it does not fit the front bench seat cars, and I'm just selling the console. Oldsmobile club records say there were 55 Toros built in 1966 with buckets and center console, not sure how many were made in 1967 but not many, this is a super rare part. No 66-67 Toronado ever had a floor shifter, this was the only option for a console for those two years. The buckets they used are the same as other GM cars so they wouldn't be hard to find if you were converting a bench seat car but this console was only used on Toronado (won't fit anything else, designed for the flat floor) and very few were made. This one is pretty decent, has the lock button/latch but no key. Chrome on the lid shows some light pitting and wear, it'd look pretty good if you just repaint the black insert part but to be perfect it would need to be rechromed. The upper part is stamped steel with a thin coating on it to emulate vinyl or leather, that's got a few blisters in it on one edge and a tear on one corner. The inner lining is surprisingly clean, nothing gross ever sat in the bottom, and the carpeted base part is in good shape. There can't be more than a handful of these around, and you may never find another loose one that's not already part of a car, so if you want one, this is your chance. I'll build a nice crate/box for it, I take a lot of pride in my shipping and packaging, read my feedbacks if you need any reassurance there.
