Description: Lindbergh Collectors! Aviation collectors! Confederate Air Force and now Commemorative Air Force Members and Followers! This is a rare Lindbergh piece of Aviation History! (circa late 1960's) I inherited this from my dad- who inherited it from his uncle - who was Sam Pryor, Sr. VP of Pan American Airlines. Sam and Charles were close friends- and shared an office together at Pan Am in New York. Charles eventually bought 5 acres from my great uncle's estate in Kipahulu, Maui- where both of them died and are buried in the Palapala Ho'omau Church in the remote district of Kipahulu, Maui. Sam's brother- my grandfather, moved from Greenwich CT to Houston in the 1930's. Probably the connection that Charles had to this Texas based aviation society. Not to mention that he seemed to have donated money to that organization- one that promoted the values of the "deep South". My great, great uncle worked for the bank in St. Louis that funded the "Spirit of St. Louis". Lindbergh had very strong connections with my family- historically. This document has some water stains on it- probably due to the very wet jungle environment of Kipahulu- where Sam and Charles decided to spend their last days together. Original ink stamo and signed names of the the CAF "Colonels" - (Nolen and Culpepper) plus the added "Honorary" title for Lindbergh- and Lindbergh's name added in original ink! Original embossed seal and stamp as well". Very rare piece- probably one of a kind!
