Description: RARE Antique DRESDEN Carl Thieme Potschappel HP COVERED URN w/ APPLIED FLOWERS Click Photos to Enlarge Description Antique, signed Dresden Carl Thieme Potschappel covered pot-pourri urn with hand painted scenes and stunning applied flowers all over from the last quarter of the 19th century. This magnificent urn measures 12 1/2" tall, one side has a hand painted scene of a young Victorian couple, the reverse side has a hand painted floral bouquet. Rococo style handles. The base has quite a few little hand painted flowers also along with the applied flowers of every size, shape, and dimension including roses, pansies, carnations, etc in every color of the rainbow and the colors are vibrant and gorgeous. There is of course minimal chipping to the flowers as would be expected of a piece this age, it is approx 150 years old. I examined closely and found a total of 7 petals chipped between the base and the lid. No major chips or damage as can be seen in the photos. Truly a stunning example!!
