Description: Rare Antique Bristol Blue Glass Boutonniere, c1900 This boutonniere vase is made from hand blown Bristol blue glass and in perfect vintage condition, no chips or marks. They are designed hold a buttonhole or small floral corsage while fitted through a buttonhole on a jacket and hold the vessel in place without causing any damage to the jacket. This example has a small metal holder so that the corsage or button hole can continue to be enjoyed after the event. The metal holder allows the blue glass vessel to recline at an angle and not spill any water. The stand is in the form of a metal ring with an embossed design on the outer surface, the inside has ‘teeth’ that hold the glass in place and has two small feet to make a secure stand. The boutonniere measures approx. 9.8cm in length. This boutonniere vase can be used for many occasions it adds a touch of class and luxury to any event. Please see pictures for more details.
