Description: ESTATE FRESH FROM 19th Century Goteborg Sweden an elegant set of Silver spoons from the 1840s--hallmarked, they measure about 8.5" long each and have a total weight of about 300 grams--almost 11 ounces (five spoons are 48 grams and one is 62 grams). although the spoons are the same design 5 are by the silversmith 'A. Wessman' and one is by 'H G Vogt & Sons' and it is the heavier spoon. Rare and lovely and considering the early date, these spoons would have graced the table of a wealthy family. Condition is remarkably good. The spoons are monogrammed on the backs. These spoons are quite large, equal to the size of today's serving spoons. I do not know what the silver composition is-Scandinavian silver was generally 800 parts to the 1000.
