Your very basic white Mary Jane-style shoe that was so popular in the 50s and 60s. This pair, however, is a bit more unusual because of their size, they are 5” long x 2 ½” wide. All one piece of soft white vinyl plastic made to easily slip on your dolls feet. And, like so many other Mary Jane-style shoes, they have the singular strap across the bridge of the foot and is accented, overall, by mold impressions around the sole area as well as across the strap and around the upper portion of the toe box of the shoe. It also has a small decorative bow on the toe box. The sole does have a small heel and the words “36 T Made in USA” imprinted on it. I am guessing that since they were made in the USA, they could very well could have been made by Ideal. Origin: Made in USA, nothing to identify the maker. Approx. dimensions: 5” long x 2 ½” wide. I’ve researched these but have come up empty handed. I assumed they would have to be for a fairly large (3’ or there about) doll but I believe the most popular of that height would have been one called Patty Playpal and I see no pictures of her wearing a vinyl shoe, rather all the examples I see of that doll, she is wearing leather Mary Janes. But I am thinking SOMEBODY is still looking for this rare set of doll shoes. They are in very nice condition, but one shoe has been repaired. Please look at the pictures. It is a solid repair, but you can see it if you look. Additionally, there are some discolored areas (all normal wear for their age) and the vinyl could be cut a little closer in some areas.
