Description: This extremely rare museum quality Cold War artifact is from the "1951 World youth Festival” held in East Berlin" DDR East Germany. The cap is blue and at the bottom you can see the flags of the participating countries in a total of three rows on top of each other. The cap was used by members of the FDJ Freie Deutsche Jugend or Free German Youth. The only other example I could find online is currently on display at the DDR museum in Berlin Inventory number 1023756 See pictures for details and condition.
