Description: Rare 1907 Loewen Theatre Program Playbill - Parsifal - Enid, Ok. There’s a crease where it had been folded in the middle, small marks or soiling on front and back, and slight wear. It’s in good condition for the age. See pics. As part of a downtown luxury hotel/restuarant/theatre complex, the Loewen Theatre was a rather large legitimate theatre. All sort of stage show played the Loewen Theatre, light opera, taveling stock shows, vaudeville, magic acts, and even small circus’s. After switching over from stage fair to screening first run movies the name changed to Oxford Theatre. Unfortunately the old theatre found that plenty of competition had sprung up around the downtown area, and this cold fact forced management to book the best quality of pictures in order to attract ticket buyers. It was destroyed by fire in 1978.
