German Naval Vulture Head Stiletto Dirk Dagger Double Edged Blade & Carved Handle Click images to enlarge Description Up for Consideration is a Rare Beautiful Original Late 18th Century, c.1770's-1810 German Stiletto Style Dirk / Dagger, 5.0 inch Double Edged Blade, Ornate Brass Antler Crossguard, Turned Ox-Bone Grip set with Brass Vulture Head Pommel! c1770-1810 Offered to you is this Amazing Very Unique late 18th Century to early 19th century Custom Made German or Spanish Naval Stiletto Style Dirk or Dagger measuring 14.0 inches long total with a 9.25 inch Double Edge Blade. Beautiful 5.50 inches Carved and turned Ox-Bone Handle. Brass Stag Antler Crossguard and an exquisite Vulture or Baby Eagle head pommel are Beautifully detailed and tight. Most likely a Late Revolutionary War to Napoleonic War Naval Dirk as it Originally came out of a Naval Military Museum in Edinburgh, Scotland 20 years ago o as since has been on display in a private Museum in Worcester, Massachusetts ever since. We have tried to locate a similar example of this Stiletto Style Dirk / Dagger and have come up with nothing believing this was a custom made piece! No Hallmarks present.
