Description: Raleigh Super Course, 531 Reynolds tubing. 53 X 57 cm, measured center to center. 1974 era. Brooks B15. 27” Wheel with new Pásela tires. Aluminum rims. This is a very nice coffee colored, Carlton built bicycle. It is from the original owner, purchased at a local bike shop in 1974, she rode this bike on a weekly basis in the riding season. It has always been serviced locally. The coffee paint and chrome finish is in need if a clean and wax. There are some touch ups, scrapes and general wear for a bike of this vintage. The finish has responded well to a lite buffing with a cleaner wax. It can be converted to 700c. Current 2 x 5 drivetrain is in great original condition. The original cottered crank, while not the best is fully functional and could converted to a vintage 3 piece crank. I was told almost every component is original except the rear, derailer, similar vintage, but not the original. Panaracer Pácela tires are relatively new, hold air and roll smoothly. I started to do some cleaning and lite polishing. There is some surface rust, general wear from being a 49 - 50 year old bike. Please ask any questions before bidding. Local pick up is an option.
