Description: A Quality Large Solid Copper Art Nouveau Planter with Brass Handles. It stands 22cms tall and is 23.5cms round. It is very decorative, having a beautiful classic Art Nouveau design embossed front and back with lovely detailing including a stippling effect, all done by hand. There are also 2 horizontal bands running around the top and bottom. It stands beautifully shaped with a deep curled-over rim and has long solid brass curved handles which give it elegance. The base is stamped BELDRAY MADE IN ENGLAND. Beldray is an anagram of Bradley & Co Wolverhampton, England. They were founded in 1872; famous for their copper milk pails. They produced quality copper ware and introduced Art Metalware from 1890-1910. A great useful piece of history in good original condition that would enhance anyone's home. It has been left with all it's natural patina but would really gleam if polished up!
