Another intuitive aspects of the Thermion 2 include the picture-in-picture mode, and a wide angle eyepiece. The picture-in-picture mode displays a magnified, high-precision, magnified image frame of the target and reticle. This frame provides the user with a closer view of target, but only takes up 10% of the total display area, allowing total visual control of the entire field of view. The wide angle eyepiece (and the HD AMOLED display) eliminates the keyhole effect, resulting in greatly reduced eye-strain and enables the user to fully concentrate on their target.
