Description: The Principe Borghese tomato is an Italian heirloom that produces abundant yields of 1 to 2-inch plum shaped tomatoes. This unique heirloom tomato variety is renowned as a sun-drying tomato with excellent flavor and texture. Unlike most other tomato varieties, Principe Borghese tomatoes do not naturally abscise from the stem and therefore they can be dried right on the vine. This is typically accomplished by pulling the whole plant and hanging it upside down in a warm, dry location for a period of one to two weeks. Semi-determinate.
