Description: Pre-War Fabrication Francais Perfectionee Silver Plated Trumpet by Besson-c.1925 Click images to enlarge Description Vintage Pre-War Fabrication Francais Perfectionee Silver Plated Bb Trumpet Made by Besson Serial Number 83706 Made Between 1921 and 1930 Sweet Lively Bright Tone Compression 100% Another beautiful collectable and rare trumpet! This vintage Paris made Fabrication Francais Perfectionee was made by Besson somewhere between 1921 and 1930. Silver plated. Serial number 83706. I believe this model was made just before the MEHA. The Besson name does not appear anywhere on the horn but this is probably because there was competition with the other Besson factory in London which was founded in 1857. There might have been an export agreement between the two factories. This Bb trumpet was restored recently and is still in fantastic playing condition. Cosmetic issues include a patch on the second valve slide, a patch behind the valves on the bell section, spots of plating wear, various stray solder marks, ripples from previous repairs and a small metal chip on a bottom cap receiver (but cap still stays on fine). All slides and valves work perfectly. The compression is 100% perfect. Bell measures 4 3/4" and the bore appears to be .45". The receiver measurement at the opening is .44" Just cleaned and oiled. This rare vintage Besson trumpet will include a case, mouthpiece and valve oil. Really a find in this condition! If you've always loved these French Bessons you'll want to give this one a try.
