Dooling Brothers small class conventional racing car "Series 6000". 12" long, direct drive, for .23 to .45 gas engines (with the Bunch series of engines being the most popular). First introduced in November 1941 as a Class .36 race car,{ a "pee-wee" in size - a thunder bolt in speed } according to Dooling's ads! Priced at $16.95 less engine, its racing career and production was short lived do to the countries engagement in WWII. a few months later. Between 1942 and 1946 a few cars could be seen in photos from what little racing that was being done and reported on in magazines. . With the renewed interest in tether car racing ,post war (1946) and the introduction of cars like the Dooling "F", McCoy Teardrop, Invader and Hot Rod, the Stevens D-1 and the Pacemaker, the class .36 cars never gained any popularity and was not recognized by many sanctioning race bodies for National Events. Few if any new Dooling ads appeared after the war. Dooling's "pee-wee" was now history. It wouldn't be until the early 1950's that an attempt to save the hobby,( a mite size car class) would again be considered, due to cost of a competitive .60 size car and the closing of many race tracks Many more reproductions out there than cars originally made by Dooling. .
