The Autonomous Republic of Crimea is represented on the postal issue by Crimean Tatar embroidery (women's head shawl "marama", mid-nineteenth century), which is made in the traditional technique of tambour embroidery Qasnaq using metallized (gold) and silk threads on homespun.
