Description: Postally unused White Border (1915-1930) postcard of the Public Library in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Although this card has not been addressed or mailed, there is writing on the message side of the card, "Built in 1809. I went to school here 40 years ago. It was then the Academy, but has been remodeled inside and is now the Library. The old town looks about the same as ever." I've been informed that a new library opened at the beginning of 2007, and that this building is now vacant. This card is in good condition with some corner wear, circular crease lines near the corners (maybe from being in an album), and some "bumps" that may be due to age or wear.
