Description: Up for sale is a Polk Audio PSW505 300W RMS Subwoofer. This subwoofer powers on and makes bass. The enclosure is in really good condition and the woofer looks great. I am listing it for parts only/not working because: 1. The subwoofer has low hum when powered on with no signal (seems to be absent when playing content, however, it's possible I just can't hear it)2. The subwoofer won't enter standby mode.3. The subwoofer doesn't sound as loud as it used to (could be my age, but I would suspect something else, however it still produces bass). Additionally, the grill is broken in 3 different places, but I have it held together with gorilla tape (which is holding up nicely). There are a few cosmetic blemishes on the front of the enclosure that can be seen when the grill is off (see photos). I can not make any guarantees that these are the only things that might be wrong and you should anticipate further diagnostics/repairs. Because of these things, I would absolutely recommend using it for parts only and I am listing it as "Not Working". Subwoofer includes the original power cable and a 25ft media bridge shielded rca cable. I have owned this subwoofer for quite some time (from a smoke free home) and can answer any additional questions that you may have. No returns. Thank you. Update: I spoke with Polk Audio customer service that confirmed that the amplifier is failing. Please consider this in your purchase.
