When using both the left and right Line Level inputs, the subwoofer's built-in low-pass filter is bypassed and the receiver's low pass filter control sets the low pass crossover point of the subwoofer. If the receiver's "Sub Out" is unfiltered (check your owner's manual), use either the left or right Line Level input to use the low pass crossover in the subwoofer.Speaker Level Input/Output: The subwoofer has spring clip connections for front speaker level input and output. The subwoofer's low-pass filter takes the low frequencies (based on the setting of the filter) and passes the rest of the signal out to the speakers. This is the recommended method of connecting the subwoofer with a Polk Audio RM-series Home Theater speaker package and other "satellite" speaker systems.
