Description: Poems by EMILY DICKINSON, edited by two of her friends, Mabel Loomis Todd and TW Higginson This ex-library hardcover includes the First and Second Series, with the Second starting halfway through the book. The Second Series is led off by a facsimile of Dickson's writing of her poem "Renunciation." This particular book was published by the Roberts Brothers of Boston in 1893, apparently as a joint venture with the University Press, John Wilson & Son, Cambridge Although it is ex-library, it doesn't have a lot of library markings... it has a library code on the spine, and library stamp for the State Library Commission (of Montana) with its address on the title page.... There apparently was a sticker placed over that stamp at some time as there's some residue over that area.... likewise, on the opposite page, there's a bit of residue as well (see photos) Otherwise, there's no other markings, writing or anything else inside to indicate this was a library book or that it had much use over the years. The cover has had some light use, with the light area showing a bit of rubbing and the corners are bumped.... there's some light wear at top and bottom of spine....the gold letter lettering and artwork on the cover is still pretty strong (see photo) Free shipping
