Description: CNC Machined custom air cleaner wing nut. Made from 6061 billet aluminum. Threads are 1/4-20, which was BY FAR the most common thread size for the carb studs of American cars from the 50's into the 80's. The design is cut INTO the aluminum to last a lifetime. It's not just a sticker/decal that will fade and fall off. After machining/engraving, the design is then filled-in with paint, then fine sanded to make the design stand out. Taking pictures of these can be difficult, I am not a professional photographer and lighting, shadows, being out of focus, and glare all add to the challenge. Hopefully, you can get the idea of what it looks like. It's an easy way to add a custom touch under the hood. I including a sample "before & after" picture of an air cleaner with its stock steel wing nut compared to the custom aluminum one. Also, I don't take a picture of every single wing nut I make. Instead, I take a picture or two of each design. There may be ever so slight differences from one to the next. These are made one at a time, not mass-produced in some far-away factory. Note that this item is for vehicles that have air cleaner wing nuts. Modern car engines do not have them. All of my custom wing nuts come with a thick, hardened "machine washer". This may be needed for spacing on your particular air cleaner. Dimensions of wing nut is just under 2" long, just under 3/4" wide, and just under 1" tall.
