Description: Cut on two sides, with a rounded natural crust side, unpolished ore specimen in a quartz granite ore with black crystals from the 1800s Ore Knob copper Mine in Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. 2 3/4" x 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" measurements from the longest point of the shape. Small gold spots noted scattered in the piece. Mixed precious metal ore. Last photos show filings setting in platinum testing acid for thirty minutes with no dissolving.
