In this volume he gives an overview of pineland villages in Berkeley County, portrays life in a Pineland village, specifically Pinopolis, provides an updated history of Pinopolis homes and structures, displays photographs of Pinopolis village homes and corresponding plantations that no longer exist, and showcases as many images as possible of structures no longer existing. The book is rich in photos of places, people and artifacts. Appendices include partial geneologies of the following families: Cain, Green, Guyton, Harvey, Macbeth, Major, McCants, Perry, Porcher, Ravenel, and Williams. Oversize hardbound volume is in very good condition with clean crisp pages, free of any marks, tears or smudges. Other than author’s signature, no writing in book. It is not ex-library and pages are tightly bound. The boards and spine are a pristine forest green with beautiful gold lettering. Unclipped dust jacket is in good condition but shows a little wear and scuffing to front and back surfaces.
