Description: Revised and expanded edition. The Taos Society was founded in 1915 to provide a link between artists in the tiny, isolated New Mexico village and the major American art markets. This study includes the six founding members: Joseph Sharp, Oscar Berninghaus, Ernest Blumenschein, Bert Phillips, E. Irving Couse, and W. Herbert Dunton as well as artists who later joined the society. Condition Good: the dust jacket has visible wear and tear. The hardcover itself has some minor wear at the bottom edge of the spine, the corners are in excellent condition. Binding is square and tight, pages are still in excellent condition.
