The triple geode shows how 3 different types of geodes can form adjacent to each other. The largest one is lined with deep pink dogtooth (scalenohedral) calcite crystals. The other hollow one is lined with iridescent brown calcite that reflect gold hues off of its crystals' faces and has a later growth of clear, rhombic calcite crystals atop the brown. The third geode was solid quartz. It has a cool shape and makes for an excellent cabinet display pair. This fantastic find was found in Adams County, Illinois.
