Description: Pierre Beaudroit (1920-2012), Vintage French Oil Painting, Bouquet of Flowers, Signed, 1984 This charming vintage French oil painting on canvas depicts a bouquet of violet colored flowers in a vase. It is signed on both sides “P. Beaudroit” and the back is also marked with the date, “1-5-84” (May 1, 1984). Pierre Beaudroit (1920-2012) was a French painter born in Hérimoncourt near Montbéliard in the Doubs department of eastern France close to the Swiss border. He spent the last years of his life in Aix-les-Bains in Savoy where he was active in the local artistic scene. The stretcher bears the stamp of the art supply store “La Maltière” in Seloncourt (Doubs), close to Hérimoncourt. Framed, this painting is in excellent condition. The frame shows a few signs of wear.
