Description: I am not an expert on antique books. I am a retired teacher and appreciate the value of antique condition of books. Vol. II is in wonderful condition with a strong binding. All pages are in tact. A Ll maps are included including 7 fold out maps. And 7 one page maps. The corners of this book are slightly worn but very good. The top and bottom outside binding is worn but what would you expect from a book from 1888? It is all present and stable. Vol. I is in lesser condition but all there. The four fold out maps are present and there are9 one page maps. The binding has ripped away from the book but look like an easy repair. The four corners of Vol. I are in good shape. The outside top and bottom of the binding is worn but all there. The cover on this one is not as nice as volume Ii. If glued properly it would be all there. Both tissue are covering the photo in the front of each book. The books are 9 1:4” tall and 6” wide. Almost 2 inches thick. 500 pages in Vol. I. And 486 in Vol. II. The golden print on Vol. II is bright and shiny. Vol. I is duller but all there! Any questions….please ask before bidding. They weigh together exactly 5 pounds and will be wrapped well…Media Mail. Truly a treasure of war history. I WOULD BE WILLING TO SELL THESE SEPARATE WITH THE RIGHT OFFER SINCE VOL. 2 is in very good cond. Vol. I. Ave. Cond. to good.
