Description: Washington State is full of treasures yet to be discovered. During the Middle Miocene age, forests in Washington were covered from basalatic lava flows over large areas. Silicified wood was used by Native Americans for arrow heads and tools and they surely discovered their beauty. Our petrified wood has a Silica Mineorology that contains Opal-A, Opal-CT, Chalcedony and Macrocrystalline Quartz. We can not guarantee the mineral composition of our pieces but we do our best to take good pictures. The source and new discovery is on private property in Yakima, County, Washington State. We dig these out of the ground ourselves and hand pick each piece while respecting the spiritual and native history of the land. We do take pictures wet and dry to show the best details. Thank you for looking and please be sure to check out all of our pieces in our Blue Marble Store. #102
